At De La Salle Catholic College Ashfield, students are challenged to live and promote the values of self-discipline, care and respect for others and appreciation of the environment in which they live. These values were demonstrated by Jesus in the Gospels and modelled by St John Baptist De La Salle during his life’s work of educating boys.
Students are expected to:
Students are supervised by teachers of the College from 8.20 a.m. each morning until 3.10 p.m., on school days.
Students who are required for sport training or detention will have their parents notified at least 24 hours beforehand.
AT ALL TIMES OUTSIDE THESE HOURS, THE COLLEGE GROUNDS AND BUILDINGS ARE OUT OF BOUNDS TO ALL STUDENTS
The College cannot be responsible for supervising or caring for students outside the College premises, unless the students are engaged in a College-sponsored activity, e.g. an excursion, detention or a sporting event.
The College will not be responsible for supervising or caring for students on their journey to and from school. In particular, the College will not be responsible for supervising students at bus stops or train stations on their way to school or on their way home from school. Each student’s journey to and from school shall be the responsibility of each student’s parent or guardian. Whilst students are wearing the College Uniform, travelling to and from school, they are expected to follow all College rules relating to behaviour and grooming.
